Redefining Protected Classes

Ohio legislators, with nothing better to do, have promoted legislation that would protect gun owners as people are protected for their race & religion.
Not sure what being Indian or being Methodist has to do with going out & buying a gun - or a toaster for that matter.
OTOH, if you are a weaponized cyborg type of person, that might be something different.
