Westwood, not the most welcoming community, has posted welcome signs in Northside. The real border is about 500 feet up the road, unfortunately.
Westwood Civic Association had asked Northside to cede the land in 2011 but the Northside Community Council opted to retain it. Westwood Civic was told explicitly to not place the welcome sign in Northside but with a typically arrogant and cavalier attitude, they have.
WCA has been given til the end of February to remove the sign and place it in the proper place.

Is this sourced from somewhere? I'm curious why Northside doesn't just rip it out of the ground now. Details! :)
Northside has opted for diplomacy first.
Without a name - I'm certainly not naming names but it has all been discussed at NCC meetings.
Ha. I guess Northside wants to keep its fractal-like relationship with the city. (Its shape looks roughly like a smaller Cincinnati...just check that neighborhood map. East End sort of does this, too!)
You didn't specify the location, but it's clearly in the Sayler Park/Riverside part of the neighborhood, since that's the only part that borders Westwood.
What are the assets in the western branch of Northside that the neighborhood really wants to keep? Not saying they should cede it to Westwood, just wondering what's there.
Only reason I would see to give it up is to bolster Northside's identity as a central neighborhood, rather than a "west side" neighborhood. And we all know the west side sucks.
