Horror Sells
These illustrations were not meant to sell cars but to sell the ad agency, an Indian firm that does work with Ford. While light & whimsical, they do offer a bit of horror, binding & gagging celebrities & stuffing them into the trunk of your subcompact Figo. Granted I'm not up on pop celebrities, but I don't know who any of these people are. I might have this one, Paris Hilton & some Kardashians?The illustrations remind me of pinball machine art. There were probably some B&D pinball games but I never played one. I am completely clueless on this'nSo, while I would have maybe pointed out you don't have to slice up the bodies to fit 'em in anymore (cue chainsaws), it's still kinda horrific. Of course the civil rights loonies outrage & attacks on Ford, who had nothing to do with the campaign is probably more horrific.
