OK Hollywood, here's another idea.
A zombie outbreak occurs & the way people deal with it, due to mamby poamby liberal meddling, the zed are cryogenically frozen so a future society can figure it out or a time machine is created so they can be sent into the future, again, hoping the future society can figure it out.
The future could be any sort of place, you could even go Planet of the Apes & have a future society of intelligent zombies who would have to contend with the influx of savage "refugee" zombies.
Heck, it could even be a society of robots who only use humans for batteries. They would have to protect their wetware from the voracious zed.
Sci Fi, Zombies, Time Machines? Robots?

Daniel Drake - Zombie Hunter
Ok, Hollywood, here's another idea. In the vein of the Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, Noah & some other faux history crap, Daniel Drake - Zombie Hunter.
Drake lived from the late 1700s to the mid 1800s. He lived primarily in the Ohio River Valley. He was a frontier physician, being one of the first diplomaed doctors west of The Alleghenies.
He dabbled in many sciences, social reforms, started medical schools, an insane asylum, worked in epidemiology (cholera) and he even went to a school called Transylvania!
He documented the effects of the New Madrid earthquakes on 1911/12.
So, epidemics (zombiee virus), lunacy, disasters in the lush 19th century midwest...
A perfect setting for a zombie apocalypse if I ever saw one.
Add that he was a decent looking guy and I think you've got one kick ass hero. heck, you could even work in a Van Helsing character with the Transylvania U . angle.
So, go for it, Hollywood!

Remake Advice
You love your rehashing old characters, well, here - remake Have Gun Will Travel but set it in a zombie apocalypse. It can't lose.
Paladin could deal with tyrant warmies abusing both fellow warmies AND the zed all the time spouting moralistic crap & touting classic philosophy.

Cincinnati Preparedness Expo
Preppers are an interesting lot. I know of them from the zombie nuts but watching the video I actually would like to learn about some of this stuff.
One thing I found amusing on the site, however, was that under Explore Cincy, there was absolutely nothing listed in Sharonville. They send you off to Kings Island, downtown Cincinnati, Newport, Union Terminal, the Cincinnati Zoo...
Surprisingly they don't send you off to OTR with your AR-15 & body armour.
Anyway, everybody is going to be at the Wesleyan Cemetery Memorial service Monday morning.

Battling Taylor
OK, Hollywood, I have another blockbuster idea for you.
An Andy Taylor prequel where we visit his military career in WWII. Wikipedia states that some of the years listed by the writers don't exactly line up with the actual war but that there are references to him being stationed in France and in N Africa as a first sergeant.
What I'm thinking is N Africa where Andy finds himself battling zombie mummies in caves.
Maybe he could meet his wife, a rough & tumble archaeologist who belly dances. That would explain her having no family in Mayberry.
This will work, Hollywood. I will wait.

iZombie
This adaptation of a comic book smooshes up a number of zombie elements, probably the most interesting of which is the intelligent zombie trying to fit into the world of warmies & balancing her divergent interests. It's on the CW so you know it will be good. No, seriously, since it doesn't have love lorn vampires, it might actually be fun. It does appear to have about every other damn cliche going on.

ZOMNADO
OK grade Z horror movie makers, here's my idea. You can have it.
As people are opting more and more for cremation, the severity of a zombie apocalypse is quickly deteriorating to a 'zombie problem'.
But what if the ashes / cremains came back & blew in the wind like in dustbowl times and people couldn't keep them out of their homes, off their bodies & out of their noses, mouths and lungs. The powdered zed could wreak havoc on the warmie flesh bags from within.
And since people are so fond of dumping people's cremains into rivers, lakes & oceans, they could come in in liquified states via beaches, river beds and even through the plumbing.
When you combine this double whammy ~ boy fucking howdy ~ ZOMNADO !!.

Article 246
Is considered a poisoning any attempt on the life of a person through the use of substances which can cause death more or less cleanly, regardless of the manner in which these substances were used or administered, and regardless of the consequences.Enacted in 1884, it basically makes making zombies through the use of potions & such, illegal & pretty much an act of murder.
Is also considered attempt on life by poisoning the use made against a person of substances which, without giving death, will cause a more-or-less prolonged state of lethargy, regardless of the manner in which these substances were used and regardless of the consequences.
If the person was buried as a consequence of this state of lethargy, the attempt will be considered a murder.
While zombification isn't a huge issue in Cincinnati, better safe than sorry. You can let the task force know about your concern to nip zombification in the bud here

George Romero’s 1968 cult classic Night of the Living Dead is royalty-free, and does not add much to the actual economics of the zombie genre. For Porktown gore fiends we can look forward to bloody Milford's Horror Hound's convention at the shiny Sharonville Convention Center in March (when the ground starts to loosen up a bit) to add our share to the zombie economy.

This post is also a test of using the html5 video stuff.
UPDATE: ok, by my tests, the html5 video junk is working in iOS; Linux Firefox; Mac Firefox, Safari Chrome; Win Firefox, Chrome, Opera. No go on Internet Explorer & Chrome doesn't even launch on Fedora anymore. This seems to be an issue for Chrome on a number of Linux distros.

Feet & Thyroid Nuggets
Brain Salad Wrap
Crispy Brain Dippers
AND
The Big Brain Burger
For more info Gory Gourmet
Will the USA just sit by & do nothing? Most likely. What the hell, if Russia wants to be a boring brain dead theocratic shithole - let 'em.
more
even more
UPDATE: 2 of the Pussy Rioters involved in the "hooligansim" who were not convicted have fled Russia. Fine, let Russia lose more of it's young people. They are apparently having a hard time recruiting military, maybe they can bleed some more younguns through draconian repression.

From the Horror Sells series.....
Dunno how this stacks up to the ApocalypseEV-1. Neither appear to have weapon mounts and the Volt doesn't have solar panels but is likely more comfy in cooler & rainier climates.

A low budget movie from 1980 about a French town full of slow moving, bloodless, nudists who can't shoot worth a damn and wind up getting terrorized by a squad of Nazi amphibi-zombies.
Really it oughtta be called something like Swamp Nazis or Lake of the Living Dead or something as this semi-organized squad of undead Nazi soldiers can move, have some reason & don't eat people. They are more like really sloppy, green vampires.
Who live in a lake.
The whole walking around at the bottom of the lake in uniform thing is kinda cool. Probably the best part. Well, that and the gratuitous nudity…..
One quibble - back in WWII, when the French resistance fighters slaughter the soldiers & throw their carcasses into the lake, one Frenchie steals a dead soldier's boots. Subsequently, as they shamble-march (no shamble-goose-stepping) through the streets of the town, nobody is barefoot.

Accessorize like the living
Tone while you lumber
Brain stains be gone
Sears dicked me on a washing machine / dryer deal about 19 years ago so I refuse to do business with 'em but their Halloween Zombie promotion is pretty good.
Complete with videos, a zombie gift guide & an undead Twitter feed. The zombie treadmill is probably my fave.
